OTHER MOTHS

Most of the other moths will come from France (to light). I expect to have ova in the Spring of A.villica (CREAM SPOT TIGER), M.lunaris (LUNAR DOUBLE STRIPE), many of the prominents and possibly S.pavonia meridionalis (EMPEROR), the largeEuropean sub-species. In the Summer, I get C.nymphagogo(OAK YELLOW UNDERWING), E.fulminea, promissa, sponsa, elocata etc.. G.quercifolia(LAPPET), D.pini(PINE LAPPET), P.illicifolia (SMALL LAPPET)), L.quercus (OAK EGGAR), More prominents includingH.milhauseri (TAWNY PROMINENT) and S.argentina, E.quadripunctaria (JERSEY TIGER), the KITTENS and PUSS MOTH plus many others. In the Autumn, the common species include more 'cats' and M.maura (OLD LADY) to sugar and many more to light, including C.pudica (MEDITERRANEAN TIGER).
